Comment(s):

A321:

One A321 has been bought on the civilian market. After a retrofit / upgrade it will join the BMVg VIP fleet. The aircraft is bought as it's capable of transporting more people over long distances then the A319s and Global 5000s.

A400M:

The delivery of the A400M to the German Air Force is seriously delayed. Due to problems the first two delivered aircraft are grounded (listed as WFU in above table).
The German MoD intended to lease 13 aircraft to other countries as it's was intended to operate only 40 aircraft. The Czech Republic and Switzerland were reported as countries interested to lease the A400Ms but this didn't materialize.

BO-105:

The BO-105Ps has been withdrawn from use in October 2016.

C-130J Super Hercules:

The German MoD will place an order to buy six Lockheed Martin C-130Js in 2019. These aircraft will be based in France alongside six French Air Force Super Hercules (two C-130J.30 and two KC-130J contracted in early 2016 and two aircraft to be ordered) and will operated by joint France-German unit.

C-160D Transall:

The Transall is in the process of being withdrawn from service and replaced by the A400M. Two wings are operating the transport aircraft. Both will be disbanded see squadron and wing overview.

H145:

The H145 helicopters have been purchased for the special operations role and will replace the UH-1Ds from THR 30 which were tasked with supporting special forces.

Comments:

A310MRTT:

The two A310-304s were modified to perform the VIP transport role and replaced by the new VIP fleet consisting of the Airbus A319, A340 and Bombardier Global 5000.

The A310PAX is configured solely for the passenger and transport role.

Four A310s were modified to A310MRTT (Multi Role Tanker Transport). One of these aircraft is configured as Medevac aircraft.

Germany expressed an interest to join the European MRTT program with two A330MRTT purchased. It's unknown if they A310MRTT will be withdrawn from service when Germany decides to become a partner in the program.

RF-4E Phantom II:

The RF-4Es which were not written off or preserved have been sold to the Air Forces of Greece and Turkey.

UH-1D:

The Huyes were to be withdrawn from service but the German MoD decided to postpone the out of service date to mid 2019.

The Hueys will continue to serve with THR 30 longer changing to the SAR role with helicopters detached at other bases.
