Alpha Jet:

All the aircraft were purchased from the German Air Force.

F-16:

The Fighting Falcons were bought in two batches. The first batch of 20 aircraft were new aircraft, the second batch taken from AMARG.

Portugal bought 12 F-16s from surplus USAF stocks at AMARG. These aircraft are updated and will then be delivered to the Air Force of Romania who purchased them through Portugal.

P-3 Orion:

The original P-3Ps have all been withdrawn from use. Portugal bought five P-3Cs from the Netherlands when they were withdrawn from use by the Marine Luchtvaart dienst (Navy air arm).

SA.316 / SE.3160 (Alouette III):

To replace the Alouette IIIs in service five new single engine helicopters will be purchased. When contracted it's possible an option for another two helicopters will be included.
