Apr 26:

Another milestone of the KC-46A Pegasus program was reached by Boeing on Apr 25. The fourth aircraft of the program, a Boeing 767-2C known as EMD-3, made its first flight. During 1 hour and 40 minutes the aircraft underwent engine, flight control and environmental checks. Of the four aircraft two are 767-2Cs which don't have the refuelling boom installed and two KC-46As. Both 767-2C aircraft will be converted to KC-46A eventually. The USAF expects a total order of 179 Pegasus aircraft to replace its KC-135R/T Stratotankers.

Apr 18:

Lockheed Martin received a modification contract for the production of HC-130J aircraft for the US Coast Guard. Work is expected to be completed by March 30, 2019 with fiscal year 2016 funds allocated. The number of aircraft to be converted is not mentioned in the contract announcement.

Lockheed Martin / Sikorsky has been awarded an advance acquisition contract for the long lead items low-rate initial production (LRIP) Lot 1 for two CH-53K King Stallion helicopters. Fiscal year 2016 funds are allocated with expected delivery by October 2021.

Apr 14:

Boeing (Ridley Township, Pennsylvania) was awarded a FMS contract to produce 12 CH-47F Chinook helcicopters for the Royal Netherlands Air Force. Note: the estimated completion date was reported in the contract document as 15 April 2016 which most likely should be 15 April 2018. Fiscal year 2016 funds are allocated to this purchase.

Boeing (Mesa, Arizona) will upgrade 117 AH-64D Apaches to the AH-64E model for the US Army. In total 290 Apaches are now contracted to be upgraded with a planned total of 690 conversions.

Apr 11:

Lockheed Martin / Sikorski received a contract to produce seven UH-60M Blackhawk helicopters for Mexico. All UH-60s will be uniquely configured with the contract estimated to be completed by 28 February 2019. Fiscal year 2016 funds are allocated to this purchase.

Apr 7:

Boeing recieved a contract to upgrade 117 AH-64D Apache helicopters to the AH-64E Guardian variant. Estimated contract completion date is May 31st, 2018 with fiscal year 2015 and 2016 allocated.

Lockheed Martin / Sikorski was awarded a contract for one UH-60M to be completed by July 31st, 2017 and funded by fiscal year 2016.

Apr 5:

Boeing was awarded a modification to a previous awarded advance acquisition contract contract for the delivery of 11 P-8A Lot 8 - Full Rate Production IV aircraft for the US Navy. Expected order completion date is Jnauary 2017.
