Located near the city of Tainan on the west coast the base is home to
the 1st Tactical Fighter Wing equipped with the F-CK-1C/D. Three squadron are assigned to the wing. The F-CK (Ching-Kuo) aircraft was developed by Taiwanese aircraft manufacturer Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation.
