Comment:

The new (retrofitted) CH-47's are equal to the US Army CH-47F MYII CAAS (Common Avionics Architecture System) standard.

D-472 was the first new Chinook to be delivered to the Royal Netherlands Air Force. A news release by Boeing on April 3 stated the Chinook was delivered recently. It will be assigned to 302 squadron at Fort Hood, Texas. They will receive the first CH-47F's with deliveries from early 2021 made to 298 squadron based at Gilze-Rijen.

The six CH-47F's which were bought in 2007 will be retrofitted. New fuselages will be built and parts which can be (re)used from the current helicopters will be fitted. It's currently unknown which of the squadrons will operate the retrofitted Chinooks. Originally the six were equally divided between both squadrons however one was transferred from 298 to 302 squadron.
