Comment(s): The USAF has planned to purchase 179 KC-46A Pegasus tankers. The four EMD aircraft will be reassigned to the USAF after completing of the Test and Development program. Ordered: Boeing has been awarded a production contract. Opportunity: Contracts have to be awarded to Boeing. These are based on the annual budget for which numbers can varify from year to year. It is unknown in which production lots the Foreign Military Sales aircraft are built.
